I have a Diva LX - which you're welcome to try in November. I LOVE it! your gear is a very much an individual choice based on comfort, price and often many more things. It has taken me my whole diving life to find the right gear and even now I'm aware of improvements needed. :D

The best way is to try a few, and see what you like.

When you do your course, gear is normally supplied which gives you one type to try. The first few dives, just hire BCDs so you can see what different ones are like.

It's better to not rush into buying gear, and making sure that you buy what is right for you.

When I come down to Wellington in November, I can try and bring a Scubapro Ladyhawk for you to try - there are good, probably much better than what you will learn in, but they are not cheap!
