With nowadays, budget airline such as Jetstar is making tougher on baggages and we want to save money. I have noticed our drysuit weigh a bit. To save money, has anyone or heard of diver wearing the drysuit while boarding a plane to save on weights on their carry-on?

I am not saying I will do it but just curious.

Thanks in advance.

sounds mad. apart from overheating issues, the metal components would set off security alarms and i'm sure the security people would take quite an interest. sometimes, it's just worth paying the extra money.

Book extra baggage ahead of time. It isn't going to be cheap but it isn't anywhere near as expensive as those last minute at the gate fees. I had a friend transport 80 kg of wool via Jetstar from ChCh to Auckland and it only ended up at 95c a kilo.
