Oceanic HUD mask/computer system

Looks like this is starting to become available. A bit gimmicky, but I'd still like one. I wouldn't use the computer function I don't think, but would use the transmitter for air remaining

I got to see one of these things today :D

The mask is actually really nice. The fit felt really good and the seal nice and supple. I would put a different strap on cos i got long hair and those rubber things tear it out. :( (too old to lose hair accidently now!) The right side loses a bit of vision but the HUD thingy is more a CUD(cheek up display)
If you put your finger and thumb up to your face like your outlining your mask then the HUD bit is where your right thumb is. So more like Cheek up display. It is fully air integrated so you can lose a hose which is nice. Also does nitrox and Malcolm from Dive Centre Wairua used it both dives and seemed very impressed. He did say that the right side vision was a little less than he was used to due to the CUD being situated where it is.

They are not available till September.

I would have bought one today. Comes with a cool foam padded carry case too. Personally i thought it was the coolest thing ever. 8)

It wasn't as bulky looking as the pic Xman put up either. Has a small button where your temple is but quite overal quite neat and smaller than a mask from the eighties...

Thanks for the info Martin. Out of interest, did Malcolm hint at a price?
