Vertical Blue 2015

Vertical Blue 2015 has kicked off at Deans Blue Hole, Long Island, Bahamas.

The first days results can be found here: http://2015.verticalblue.net/results/?action=days

Several national records set and some impressive dives. The deepest being Jonno Sunnex and his Constant Weight dive of 91m. I was lucky enough to have Jonno take me through to AIDA 4 star course level earlier this year when he was back in NZ. It will be interesting to see what William Trubridge does this time round - another kiwi and world record holder for Constant Weight No Fins (CNF).

This is one of the premier events on the free diving competition calendar and has been described by the New York Times as "the Wimbledon of free diving". Although it is also a World Championships year so the athletes will be focusing their build-up on the World Champs later.
