Poor Knights (06/04/13)

Postby AndrewRawlingson » Mon Apr 08, 2013 9:16 am

Another excellent two day liveaboard with Kevin & Kent.

Much less exciting than our last trip I'm pleased to report!

Surface conditions were good apart from a "rock n roll" journey out to the islands.

Unfortunately, there was a lot of particulate matter in the water, so visibility wasn't the best and not great for photo/videography. Water temperature has just started to fall, it was 20 degrees at some sites.

1. Rikoriko Cave
2. Landing Bay Pinnacle - great topography
3. Oculiner - nice cavern

4. Northern Arch - strong currents this time
5. Middle Arch
6. Red Baron Caves

Glad you had a good time!

I've just had an incredible day out there.

1st dive we did Sugarloaf and had stacked rays and sharks everywhere.

2nd dive was in tie dye which was chocka with rays and huge kingis.

Glad to see you back out there - you guys were just getting in at Middle Arch when we cruised in with Yukon.

I spent most of my dive in the arch getting divers to swim over top so I could use the sunlight as a halo - lots of fun!!

Next time, will try come say Hi :)

I cant think of anything more relaxing, than being in the downunder, breathing some nice clean fresh filtered 21% nitrox.
