PADI Instructor Development Course

Postby tara » Mon Jan 19, 2009 8:20 pm

i'm sneaking in a little post in between eating my dinner, updating my slates for tomorrow and watching james bond ...
the IDC is really expanding on my ability to multitask!

alex and i are into day three of the Assistant Instructor portion and wow. its amazing.
we are extremely fortunate to have PMes as our course director and today we had Andy rock up to help us out.

i got to see Andy in a WETSUIT!
with a pink snorkel. yes, a snorkel. and it was very very very PINK
and now my hair is green.

i've been blogging our progress;

The hair was nearly as green as my snorkel was pink. About this colour I reckon.

Perhaps the green hair won't attract as many biting Snapper as the blonde did, but you better look out for the plant-eating fishes. :)

can anyone give us a hand tomorrow morning from about 9am?
we need a couple of students to help us out with the confined water sessions of our IDC.
we'll be in the pool and its a toasty 26 degrees.

if so, can you please drop me or petemes either an email or a text?

thank you!

you guys are so sweet! i'm writing up the last couple of days of the course.

i hope this gets a plan going for some of you too. what a wicked crew we have and i dont like to single anyone out but i know there are a few people cracking through the training besides me ...

becs ... hows that DM application coming along?
nem ... how did those assessments go for you?
axe ... hows your course going there buddy?

i 100% fully totally and completely recommend the PADI IDC.
asides from the skills and the workshops, i finally got a much better idea of where i can fit into the dive industry and today, i am all pepped up.
i'm off to get a printer/copier and am building/rebuilding my site/blog/documentation
