I have heard it is the go to book. I hope you managed to get the new edition? (released this year) or at least an older copy cheaper?

The new version. I understand it has a better format although I have not seen earlier edition.

Also Safety in small craft is an excellent read. If you own a boat you should own it and read it regularly. If you ever go out in a boat you should also own it and read it regularly.

Would definately agree with "Safety in small craft" I bought and read it as part of the MSCDB course and definitely learnt a lot from it. You can certainly see why it has been a standard in boating education for small craft.
