Hello to you all.
I must say after the weather we have enjoyed for what seems so long, this rain is a bit of a bummer.
I can see a patch of the upper mangonui harbour from my window as I type.
It's not pretty out there that's for sure.
Makes me remember how I am late cutting fire wood this year which is a marked contrast to the last
couple of months which have been all about remembering sunscreen and a hat!
I have had one of my best summers though with one big adventure just over (sailed from Aus to NZ)
and another firmly in my sights.
One of the nice things about this time of year is we can look forward to a few more nice long settled periods
for more overnight boat trips. The water will be warm for a bit yet.
My name is Garry and I have been in Mangonui about 7 years. Before that Waiheke (briefly) before that Colorado for 18 years and before that (now Im dating myself) Kumeu and I was born with a black tee shirt on (Westie).
My wife Nancy was ready to leave Colorado and I needed a salt water fix so here we are. Being gone makes you
Appreciate being back if you have your eyes open!
I try to get on around or under the water as often as I can without being obsessive and somone writing me a prescription!
