Hi,

One thing I cant get my head around is the BAR reading for gas use?
How is this calculated? I cant find any options for tank size.
Would seem a lot more intuitive if you used litres instead.

Hi ChuckyBob,
gas consumption is calculated using your personal SAC rate ( settings menu ) and Tank capacity ( volume x Bars or Psi ).

In first picture you can see main screen with 2 columns ( Levels and Decos ): at bottom of each column there are sets of icons, just click on a level or deco gas then click ( or tap ) on tank icon to set tank capacity for the selected gas.

In graphical RunTime residual gas is shown in Bars ( or Psi, depending on units you use ), but by clicking on Text details ( on left bottom corner ) you can see consumption details in liters ( or CuFt ), as shown in 4th picture.
For each used gas it shows used liters ( or CuFt ) and corresponding weight ( for buoyancy calculations ).

Anyway, on my website you can find a quick reference guide ( manual ) in a PDF format.

vers 3.4.2 for PC/Mac

Postby TheSnake » Fri Jul 17, 2015 7:26 pm

Vers. 3.4.2 for Windows and Mac OSX is now available.

It integrates download capability, directly from inside the app, to download computer settings and dive logs from Shearwater Predator, Petrel and Petrel2 dive computers.
These profiles can be shown on the same chart of planned dive to show out differences and show alerts ( e.g. high ascent speed ).

Downloaded profiles can be sent on other devices w/PastoDeco ( iPhone, iPad, Android phones/tablets ) via the Cloud file transfer function to share the same dive database.
