My computer read 13 degrees for the Leigh coast on Saturday.
The diving was superb - calm water, sunny weather - one of those great winter's days when you just have to be in the water. I was pleasantly surprised by the visibility. I could definitely make out individual kelp stalks from 10 metres away; incredible considering all the rain of the last few weeks.
Plentiful pufferfish, small jellies, clown nudibranchs, spawning triplefins and riotously coloured sponges.
Thanks to Roger from the Botany Bottom Scratchers dive club for taking us out on such a great trip.
