Tapatalk Problems

Postby AndrewRawlingson » Thu Jun 27, 2013 1:43 pm

Every time I log on through Tapatalk, an error message pops up saying that the API has expired. Also the competition thread appears as a new post every time I log on via Tapatalk, when I select it, another error message comes up to say that it does not exist.

If you fix it, I promise to go diving and write a trip report!

Tapatalk has now got the latest version.
As far as issues with the website and images are concerned, we have had a small nightmare with the permissions on the forum. Hopefully these issues have been resolved.

One outstanding issue is the compatibility with newer versions of Internet Explorer.
CUrrently if you are using windows 7 or later, you may not see an image, however you will see a box with the name of the file inside it..
This issue has been logged at a software level with the writers and hopefully a resolution can be found soon.
In the meantime, a workaround, is to set your Internet Explorer into compatibility view settings.
i.e. Tools>Compatibility View Settings>Add>

I've just downloaded the new version of TapaTalk. It's ugly as hell, but at least that bloody API message has disappeared! Thanks for your efforts.

I hear tapatalk is looking at creating ads for their application.

At this stage we are not looking at adding advertising to the forum.

Hi Matt,

I'd just like to let you know there are issues with the forum on Tapatalk. A message about API popped up, and I can't view any discussions.

The API thingie came back for me too and other things didn't seem quite right. I think it may be something to do with iOS 7 changeover whether you installed it or not. I deleted the forum from Tapatalk and then reinstalled it and everything seems to be working ok again.

Great! I deleted it and reinstalled in Tapatalk and it's now working for me too. I'll try that first next time.

I'm not sure if this is something the forum administrators can deal to? Every couple of days I get this message in Tapatalk:

I then have to delete the forum and reinstall it in my Tapatalk to get it to function.

I have been troubleshooting the issue, however I am limited with not having a device that runs android, so have no way of testing.
If anyone has an android phone that they have retired or has a spare that they can provide for testing I will have more to work with to locate the issue and resolve.

PM me if you can assist.
