Wanted: Have you seen this shrimp?

Has anybody seen this shrimp before? I came across it at Mathesons last WE in about 5m near the channel. Any help with ID would be good, I was guessing something like Lysmata sp. but really have no idea.

Hi Simon
This might be similar:

The closest I've seen is this (at the Knights) but I think it's probably different from yours.

thanks for that Skip. The skunk shrimp looks similar.

Your shrimp looks fanatastic, great colours. I agree, I think it's different from mine. I'm wondering if yours is a Rhynchocinetes sp. with the upturned nose and the serrated bit underneath.

ID from Rick Webber (Curator of Crustacea at Te Papa) is that it's Lysmata morelandi.

I've been advised "prawns need to be photographed dorsally and/or laterally to see most of the important points for identification". Now how to get shrimps to pose for me...
