Wicked... nice shots.

Any idea how good or bad the scallop bed is?

Nice, looks like a biggie.

All of my dives in the last couple of weeks, at the Aldermen Islands and Poor Knights Islands, have shown indications that a full-blown plankton bloom is pending. Len's Reef at the Aldermen Islands had a thick soup of chain salps on top. I observed some Demoiselles nesting. Water getting a distinct green tinge on. Wicked! Bring on the macro photography and fish breeding frenzy. The plankton bloom is such an adventure.

I have had a couple of scallop dives out there.. The bed looks pretty healthy, there are loads just under the limit.

Would rate their condition as average, some are better than others. The viz has been pretty good there the last two weekends, over 5m..
