Young Ocean Explorers: DVD and book

Postby Phantom Menace » Sun Feb 01, 2015 11:41 am

If you have kids of a certain age you may well have seen the Young Ocean Explorers segments on What Now last year. Air NZ have also picked it up as part of their inflight entertainment package.

They are put together by Steve Hathaway and his daughter Riley. Steve has got pretty damn good with the underwater camera - some of the "Big Blue Back Yard" series is his work, and he has filmed for Discovery Channel and Nat Geo etc. A lot of the Orca eating stingray footage you may have seen is also his work (he was the first to film this.)

They have a goal of getting their Young Ocean Explorer series into schools.

Check out the website here: http://www.youngoceanexplorers.co.nz/

They are running a pre-order deal where you can purchase the book and DVD for $49.95 (incl. shipping in NZ) - saving $11: http://www.youngoceanexplorers.co.nz/products/young-ocean-explorers-book-and-dvd-delivery-end-of-february-2015

Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with Steves efforts on this or anything else. I just think what he and Riley are doing is great and we need more of this.
